In this Workshop, we explain to you in less than 3 minutes how to recognize real fur from a synthetic model, commonly called "fake fur". These models, more and more popular, are also increasingly successful and it can be difficult to recognize them without a few tips.
One of the simplest tests is to notice the movement of the hair. Take your fur and shake it lightly to see how the fur reacts. If your fur is real, the hair should follow the movement perfectly, very lightly. If it's fake, there's a good chance the hair will stay frozen. The higher quality the faux fur, the lighter it will be.
The presence of down
Second test, just as simple: checking for the presence of down! Indeed, real fur does not have to be uniform! It is not an industrial object that meets a caliber! To perform this test, simply blow on the hairs on your fur. If it is true, the hairs should part easily and reveal a relatively full down.

Hair length
Still using the same principle, you can focus on the length of the hairs. And yes, we repeat it again but natural fur is not industrial, so it will have hairs of completely different lengths. Conversely, synthetic fur is often produced in a factory and is therefore “calibrated”. Its hairs are then all the same length.
